Financial Domination - Real or or NOT?

From my experiences, Financial Domination does not seem to be an actual fetish; it is instead a psychological mind game.

Men who have lots of money cannot be dominated financially because money is insignificant to them. Tens of thousands of dollars pass through their hands on a regular basis, so engaging with a Phone Sex Operator and pretending to be coerced into giving up "large" sums of money under duress is simply a game.

In order to make the fantasy fetish work, the PSO must convince the client that she is going to blackmail or somehow finesse these large dollar amounts out of him. She must make him believe that she is counting on this money being given over.

And then, as seems the usual ritual, the client makes promises, either from fear of repercussions or slave-like devotion and the call ends. Tributes or tips that are promised are generally not paid. Further phone calls do not ensue, because for all intents and purposes the client got his fantasy played out as a convincing role-play and he never intended there to be any Financial Domination/Submissive relationship.

This is a tease and denial call under the guise of being financial domination. The point of these calls, it appears, is to hook the PSO into believing that she has latched onto a sugar daddy at the very least and that any financial troubles she has are over.

The client enjoys dangling the prize, but his biggest thrill is knowing that he has duped the PSO and remains in control of the situation by denying the payoff.

All in all this is a cruel little mind game. I find the whole fetish repugnant, especially in these difficult financial times, when everyone is trying desperately to make a living.

TORONTO - If you're looking for love while working abroad, consider a move to Thailand.
And pray head office doesn't send you to Qatar. A survey of over 3,100 expatriates around the world by HSBC Bank International compared their experiences while living and working abroad. Almost half of expats surveyed in Thailand said they found love in the country, compared with just four per cent who had the same good luck in India or Qatar.
Canada was judged the best place in the world overall to live as an expatriate. Australia was in second place and Thailand in third.
The survey indicated that expats in Canada have the best quality of life and find it relatively easy to integrate with the local population.
Considered to be the worst for expatriates in a list of 26 countries were China, Britain, Russia, India and, in last place, Qatar.
The report covered such things as accommodation, food, entertainment, health care, working hours and commuting to work.
Over half of the expats questioned had lived abroad for more than five years.
In Thailand, 60 per cent of expats said they had household staff. In Vietnam, more than 90 per cent did.
In Britain, over half of the expats surveyed said the quality of their accommodation declined since moving there. Expats also complained about the weather in Britain.
Quality of accommodation was also a problem for expats in Hong Kong.
The survey indicated that France offers expats the best health care, followed by Belgium and Switzerland.

The answer as to who, in the romance equation, is pickier when it comes to selecting a mate may come down to a question of who's doing the approaching and who's being approached, regardless of gender, finds a new study from researchers at Northwestern University.
The long-held belief is that women are more selective than men when it comes to mate selection. Why? Because females are programmed to consider the reproductive cost of choosing a partner, in other words, what bearing and raising children with the potential partner would be like.
A new study challenges this view. Typically at speed-dating events, single men make the rounds while single women remain seated. But when researchers at Northwestern University invited 350 undergrads to a round of four-minute speed-dates, they had women remain seated while men rotated for eight of the events and they had men remain seated while women rotated for the remaining seven events.
They found that the rotating students, regardless of gender, experienced more romantic desire and confidence (as indicated by their responses) after each date. What's more, after the rounds of speed dating ended and it was time for the students to go to a website to decide if they wanted to see their speed-date match-ups again, the students who were actively approaching rather than waiting to be approached were more keen on seeing their potential mates again.
The study is aligned with embodiment research which aims to show how physical actions can alter perceptions and how physical activity may intersect with psychological processes without our being aware. Study results will appear in an upcoming issue of the journal "Psychological Science."
"Given that men generally are expected -- and sometimes required -- to approach a potential love interest, the implications are intriguing," said co-investigator Eli Finkel, PhD, associate professor of social psychology in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern, in a press release. "The mere act of physically approaching a potential partner, versus being approached, seemed to increase desire for that partner."
So the likelihood of a man, or a woman, finding a potential mate on any given outing may come down to who's most willing to make the first move.

I've always had unwritten rules about who you should and shouldn't date.
Friends' exes are out, for example.

So is asking someone out when you know a girlfriend is already interested in him.

Hitting on a girlfriend's guy when they are already dating is definitely out.

In fact, in my books, hitting on any guy who's already attached or married even if you're not friends with his partner is a no-no. It's just bad karma.

But it seems karma is no match for biology.

Ninety percent of the single women in an Oklahoma State University study on 'mate poaching' were more interested in dating a man who was already in a relationship than a single man.

Past psychological studies have shown that some women may try to lure a man away from his current partner, a phenomenon known as 'mate poaching.' One 2004 study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology suggested that as many as one in five long-term relationships began when one or both partners was already in a relationship with someone else.

But this new study, published in the current issue of the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology shows that most single women actually prefer men who are already in a committed relationship.

Men and women were matched with students based on a description of their ideal romantic partner. When researchers described the women's match as single, 59 percent of the single women in the study were interested in pursuing him. However, when they described the exact same man as being in a committed relationship, 90 percent of the women were interested. Neither the men nor the already attached women who participated showed this preference.

Dr. Melissa Burkley, an assistant professor of social psychology at Oklahoma State University and one of the researchers behind the study suggests that the reason behind this is that single women are more interested in pursuing unavailable men (now, there's some shocking news) possibly because they are more interested in a guy who's already shown he can commit by being in another relationship, indicating he'd be a reliable mating partner.

Of course, the study doesn't show that, if you pursue the committed man and he goes for it, he's also clearly capable of breaking that commitment and cheating.

This week, Jan Luedecke the Toronto landscaper who was acquitted in 2005 for sexually assaulting a woman because he was sound asleep at the time of the assault, was scheduled to appear before a panel to determine if he should have any long-term restrictions on his freedom.
Instead the panel ordered Luedecke undergo a 'full and complete risk assessment' before making their decision.
'Sexsomnia,' like insulin, five-pin bowling and the term 'cougar,' is a Canadian discovery. I first heard about it at a sexuality conference in Guelph several years ago when Dr. Paul Fedoroff, a forensic psychiatrist in Ottawa presented research suggesting that stress, chronic sleeplessness, or alcohol or drug abuse may lead a person to engage in sexual behaviour while sound asleep.

The research, which Fedoroff completed with co-researchers Dr. Colin Shapiro and Dr. Nik Trajanovic of the University of Toronto first appeared in 1996 in a paper called 'Sexsomnia - A New Parasomnia?' that was published in the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry in June 2003.

It was good timing for Luedecke as it was the wee hours of house party in July 2003 when a woman woke up on the couch to find Luedecke having sex with her. He was found not criminally responsible for the assault because he was asleep at the time He testified that he had been overworked, overstressed, sleep-deprived, taken magic mushrooms and knocked back a whole bunch of booze, pretty much in line with Fedoroff et al's definition of 'sexsomnia.'

As bizarre as this all sounds, Luedecke's case is not the first.

In December of 2005, a British man was cleared of three counts of rape because he suffered 'sexsomnia' and wasn't conscious during the act. In August of 2007, a British mechanic was cleared of a rape charge after the jury found him not responsible for his actions when he had sex with a 15-year-old girl while asleep. And it's not just a guy thing. In 2004, an Australian woman was reportedly leaving her house at night and having sex with strangers while sleepwalking.

Any type of sleepwalking is rare, occurring in about 3% of children and young adolescents, and 0.5% of adults. According to research, 4% of adults who suffer from the condition carry out sexual behavior.

Luedecke's assessment, to be carried out at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, will be completed by Aug. 28. Based on this, the panel can then decide whether or not he should be committed to hospital, or to place certain conditions on his release such as refraining from drug or alcohol use.

Why go for funny, sweet, considerate when we can go for indifferent, self-centred and manipulative? So much sexier.

Why do women love bad boys? Why is the sky blue? Some women say it's about the challenge and the excitement. Nice guys are too predictable. We want to love them, but the good girl in us wants to rebel. And since society doesn't like bad girls, we let bad boys bring out the rebel in us.

Most of us get over it.

But, given the number of guys I hear from who tell me they've spent one too many days in I-like-you-as-a-friend purgatory, some of us take longer than others. "Do I have to be a jerk to get women to sleep with me?" these guys ask me. I figure they deserve an answer. Especially being such nice guys and all.

But see, but this is the problem with a lot of nice guys. They're too nice. They're so worried about what we think, their own personalities disappear in the process.

I get a little uncomfortable with a guy who is willing to do anything for me, especially if it means constantly sacrificing his own needs.

We all like to be catered to, but there's got to be a line where we end and he starts. If we don't see that line, it's very hard to respect a guy and believe he likes himself enough for us to like him.

There are reasons some women like to date boys more than girls (and not all of them have to do with sex). Believe it or not, there are a few male qualities we women quite like. For one, we are quite fond (and possibly even a little jealous) of the strong sense of self so many boys are taught to develop. We just hate it when it gets out of hand and he becomes an egotistical, self-centered boob. Unfortunately, we sometimes get sucked in.

Being nice does not mean being a doormat. Being sensitive means being flexible, but it doesn't mean he has to be putty in our hands. It means being able to stand up for who he is without being a jerk about it. Why is that so hard?

CHICAGO - As a bartender and trainer at a national restaurant chain, Rebecca Brown earned a couple thousand dollars in a really good week. Now, as a dancer at Chicago's Pink Monkey gentleman's club, she makes almost that much in one good night.

The tough job market is prompting a growing number of women across the country to dance in strip clubs, appear in adult movies or pose for magazines like Hustler.

Employers across the adult entertainment industry say they're seeing an influx of applications from women who, like Brown, are attracted by the promise of flexible schedules and fast cash. Many have college degrees and held white-collar jobs until the economy soured.

"You're seeing a lot more beautiful women who are eligible to do so many other things," said Gus Poulos, general manager of New York City's Sin City gentleman's club. He said he got 85 responses in just one day to a recent job posting on Craigslist.

The transition to the nightclub scene isn't always a smooth one - from learning to dance in 13-centimetre heels to dealing with the jeers of some customers.

Some performers said they were initially so nervous that only alcohol could calm their nerves.

"It is like giving a speech, but instead of imagining everyone naked, you're the one who's naked," Brown, 29, said.

Eva Stone, a 25-year-old dancer at the Pink Monkey, said dealing with occasional verbal abuse from patrons requires "a thick skin."

Makers of adult films cautioned that women shouldn't rush into the decision to make adult movies without considering the effect on their lives.

"Once you decide to be an adult actress, it impacts your relationship with everyone," said Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of adult film giant Vivid Entertainment Group. "Once you make an adult film, it never goes away."

The women at the Pink Monkey say dancing at a strip club might not have been their first career choice, but they entered the business with their eyes wide open. The job gives them more control and flexibility than sitting in a cubicle, and "it's easy, it's fun and all of us girls ... look out for each other," Brown said.

In this economy, "desperate measures are becoming far more acceptable," said Jonathan Alpert, a New York City-based psychotherapist who's had clients who worked in adult entertainment.

For some, dancing is temporary, a way to pay for college loans or other bills. Others say they've found their niche.

Dancers at the upscale Rick's Caberet clubs in New York City and Miami can make $100,000 to $300,000 a year - in cash - even with the economic downturn, club spokesman Allan Priaulx said.

Priaulx said 20 to 30 women a week are applying for jobs at the New York club, double the number of a year ago.

Still, analysts say, the industry isn't immune to the economic recession. Business is down an estimated 30 per cent across all segments, including adult films, gentleman's clubs, magazines and novelty shops, said Paul Fishbein, president of AVN Media Network, an adult entertainment company that has a widely distributed trade publication and an award show.

"In the past, people have said this industry is recession-proof," said Eric Wold, director of research for financial services firm Merriman Curhan Ford. "I definitely don't see that; maybe recession-resistant."

CHICAGO - Though youth is fleeting, images sent on a cellphone or posted online may not be, especially if they're naughty.

Teenagers' habit of distributing nude self-portraits electronically - often called "sexting" if it's done by cellphone - has parents and school administrators worried. Some prosecutors have begun charging teens who send and receive such images with child pornography and other serious felonies. But is that the best way to handle it?

"Hopefully we'll get the message out to these kids," says Michael McAlexander, a prosecutor in Allen County, Ind., which includes Fort Wayne. A teenage boy there is facing felony obscenity charges for allegedly sending a photo of his private parts to several female classmates. Another boy was recently charged with child pornography in a similar case.

In some cases, the photos are sent to harass other teens or to get attention. Other times, they're viewed as a high-tech way to flirt. Either way, law enforcement officials want it to stop, even if it means threatening to add "sex offender" to a juvenile's confidential record.

"We don't want to throw these kids in jail," McAlexander says. "But we want them to think."

This month in Greensburg, Pa., three high school girls who sent seminude photos and four male students who received them were all hit with child pornography charges. And in Newark, Ohio, a 15-year-old high school girl faced similar charges for sending her own racy cellphone photos to classmates. She eventually agreed to a curfew, no cellphone and no unsupervised Internet usage over the next few months. If she complies, the charges will be dropped.

In Pennsylvania, all but one of the students accepted a lesser misdemeanour charge, partly to avoid a trial and further embarrassment, a public defender in the case said. The mother of one boy is considering fighting all charges.

Whatever the outcome, the mere fact that child pornography charges were filed at all is stirring debate among students and adults.

At Greensburg-Salem High School in Pennsylvania, junior Jamie Bennish says she's not sure the boys in her school's case should've been charged.

"They did not necessarily choose to receive the pictures, although I find it questionable that they did not delete the photos from their cellphones after some period of time," she says. "As for the girls, there is no excuse for exposing yourself in that way, and any charges they receive they have brought upon themselves."

Dante Bertani, chief public defender in Westmoreland County, Pa., where the students went to court, called the felony charges "horrendous." He says such treatment should be reserved for sex offenders, not teenagers who might've used poor judgment, but meant nothing malicious.

"It should be an issue between the school, the parents and the kids - and primarily the parents and the kids," Bertani says. "It's not something that should be going through the criminal system."

These cases do pose a dilemma, concedes Wes Weaver, the principal at Licking Valley High School, where the Ohio girl attends school.

He agrees that pornography charges or other felonies are not appropriate, noting that "the laws have not caught up to technology."

But he says there has to be some way to educate students and their parents about the harm these photos can do - and the fact that, once they're out there, they often get widely circulated. Days before his staff discovered the girl's nude photos, the county prosecutor had been at the school to warn students against sexting.

2: One per cent of adults have zero interest in sex and have never felt sexually attracted to anyone at all. DUBAI (AFP) - A Dubai court on Thursday sentenced two Britons to three months in prison to be followed by their deportation for having sex on a beach in the booming Muslim Gulf emirate.

Michelle Palmer, 37, and Vince Acors, 34, were found guilty of having sex in a public place on July 5 after drinking heavily.

Both are still free on bail and were not in court to hear the verdict in the highly publicised case.

The defence vowed to appeal and said the relatively moderate ruling suggested that they only committed an indecent act in public and did not actually have sex.

But the prosecution said there was evidence they did have sexual intercourse and that it might appeal the "light" sentence.

"The sentence is rather light. I expect the prosecution to appeal," a prosecution official told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, of which Dubai is part, the maximum sentence for sex outside of marriage is one year imprisonment and the minimum is three months, the official said.

The same applies for committing an indecent act in public.

"The least they should have got is six months for the first charge (sex) and three months for the second (indecent act in public)," the official said.

Judge Hamdi Abul Khair also fined Palmer and Acors 158 pounds each for drinking alcohol.

Both Palmer, a publishing executive was sacked from her job following the case, and Acors, who was visiting Dubai, have been barred from leaving the UAE.

The prosecution official dismissed a suggestion that the judge might have shown leniency because of the defendants' nationality or to avoid the negative publicity that a harsher sentence could have provoked in Britain -- a country that enjoys strong ties with the UAE.

"No way" can there be a link between the sentence and their nationality, he said.

The couple have 15 days to appeal, and defence lawyer Hassan Matar told AFP they would do so "as soon as possible."

"The verdict shows that the judge was convinced that they did not have sexual intercourse but he punished them for the indecent act of kissing (in public)," Matar said.

He said he did not think the prosecution would appeal. A court official familiar with similar cases agreed.

When the trial opened on August 12, Palmer denied having sex with Acors, saying they were simply "kissing and hugging."

A medical report handed to the judge last month said she was undergoing treatment for "depression and anxiety," but Matar said she was now in good shape.

Acors pleaded not guilty to having sex, but a prosecution official was quoted as saying he initially admitted the offence before changing his story.

Matar has insisted that the results of a medical test on Palmer just hours after they were arrested showed "she had not engaged in recent sexual intercourse," while the medical report for Acors was inconclusive.

The case has received extensive coverage in the British press and turned the spotlight on the lifestyle of the 120,000-plus British residents of the UAE, around 100,000 of whom live in Dubai.

The bustling tourist hub is hugely popular with Britons. Dubai hosts hundreds of thousands of Western residents and tourists, but the city state still adheres to certain strict Islamic rules, and bans sex out of wedlock.

A British embassy spokesman declined to comment on the sentence, but said the case did not appear to have scared off Britons from coming to the UAE.

"We can't interfere in the judicial process of other countries, much as we don't expect other countries to interfere in ours," Simon Goldsmith told AFP.

Asked if the case had had any impact on Dubai's popularity among Britons, he said: "Around a million visitors from the UK come to the UAE every year. We haven't seen anything to suggest a change in those numbers."

Was the bowl empty? Who knows? The record company quickly put a little sign over it letting us know what hits the album had in store for us. In a rare moment of honest advertising, the songs listed were actually hits and not some manager's wishful thinking.

17) Beggar's Banquet--The Rolling Stones: This album's release was held up because the Rolling Stones wanted an old toilet on the cover and the record company said no. The Stones were always courting controversy. It was their gestalt. Yet the record company had its limits and eventually won out with a white cover with just the name of the band and the album title made to look like a bland wedding invitation. Of course, by the time CD reissues were happening two decades later, the original album cover was then allowed and whatever "cutting edge" properties the cover possessed had been effectively blunted by years of people coming up with album covers considered to be much worse.

16) The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking--Roger Waters: Once the other guys in Pink Floyd finally got tired of being Roger Waters' back-up group, Waters was sent packing to go solo and try out his tuneless wonders on a crack band of session musicians. Always big on "concept," Waters put together an album about, I guess, hitchhiking. As one of six people who enjoyed The Final Cut, I must admit I never quite grasped (i.e. listened to) this Hitchhiking saga. I tried. But like trying to eat cardboard, it wouldn't go down. The original cover, however, did include an illustration of a woman's bare butt, which soon had a black box over it--to save civilization (natch).

15) Dark Side Of The Spoon--Ministry: It wasn't the allusion to heroin in the title or the presence of a naked obese person on the cover, but the dunce cap that encouraged retailers to refuse this Ministry album. Some took it not as a dunce cap, but as a Klan hat. I guess you could infer that the kid writing on the blackboard was naked because his robe was in the wash, but I still think it's a dunce cap.

14) Waking And Dreaming--Orleans: OK, so what is the guy in the middle looking down at? And is he smiling? The guy he's apparently looking at seems to be pretty impressed with himself. Supposedly, they all have jeans on below the crop. But this album turned me against group showers for life.

13) Tin Machine II--Tin Machine: Sure, the frontal nudity may have offended people who don't like looking at such things, but most David Bowie fans were more annoyed by the stiff, robotic, uninspired music contained within. The cover was, arguably, the highlight.

12) Country Life--Roxy Music: Rock musicians live such a charmed life that they often forget that the rest of society is trying to pretend these rock stars aren't as lucky as they are. Sex, drugs and rock n' roll really do beat working for a living. Unless you're a masochist. And naked girls seem to be one of the perks of the rock life. So, of course, the band would want you to see this instead of some boring old grass. I don't think people were really so much offended as just plain jealous.

11) Lovedrive--Scorpions: Nothing worse than getting your gum stuck on your date's breast. That's a pretty awkward moment. It's as if the Scorpions were auditioning for the part of Spinal Tap.

10) Your Turn To Fall--Jandek: Most Jandek albums are a moral affront to photographers everywhere. I could've chosen one of the blurry covers, but there is something so much more offensive, uncomfortable and controversial about the obvious sexual tension involved with this white desk. Don't stare at this one too long or else risk going blind.

9) Diamond Dogs--David Bowie: Dogs love their private parts. Just watch them expose them. Just watch them clean them. Just watch them use them. You can't put naked women on the cover of an album that is mostly going to be bought by impressionable young men. They might get the right idea. And then they might dodge the draft and do drugs and use the cardboard gatefold sleeve for unpure purposes. It's a slippery slope, this morality.

6) Amorica--The Black Crowes: Pubic Hair is a touchy subject. Like children, it should be seen and not heard, or rather it should be waxed and not seen. In any case, get out your airbrushes kids or your copy of photoshop, there's a job that needs to be done. It is true that some people--like me--should never wear a bikini. Some of us respect that.

5) Back To The S**t--Millie Jackson: "Muffle That Fart," one of the album's illustrious tracks, was once an option on a jukebox in a local diner. It got me to part with a few quarters. How could it not?

4) Appetite For Destruction--Guns n' Roses: It's a bit shocking, I know, to think that a wholesome, fun-lovin' group such as L.A.'s Guns n' Roses would choose album art that some might find offensive. The artist Robert Williams was already well-known in art circles and as long as Guns n' Roses were some struggling young glam metal band, no one really cared what they put on their album covers. But once it was apparent that G n' R would likely become a major cultural force destined to take over the minds and wallets of young America, if music retailers would stock the album, it was time to remove the raped and battered woman from the album's cover before the rest of society became infected like TB.

3) Yesterday And Today--The Beatles: The Beatles were pretty tame by today's standards. But they had such an effective hold on the youth of the day and were so central to the culture that anything they did brought heavy scrutiny. So to appear in butcher smocks with bloody meat and decapitated baby dolls on an album cover was likely to cause a few people to be "not pleased" with them. Being the Beatles, they were, of course, smiling and looking like it was all one big joke. Which, of course, it was. But this was 1966 and people were still wearing suits to attend baseball games, you think they were going to put up with this?

2) Unfinished Music, Vol. One: Two Virgins--John Lennon And Yoko Ono: I suppose they had to figure out some way to interest people into listening to these experiments in sound and if it took standing naked on the album cover then that was what it was going to take. Obscene? Well, it's not the most attractive cover photo I've seen. In these days where every pimple is airbrushed, the honesty and integrity of the cover shot is to be respected. But when I reach for a Lennon album, this isn't the one that comes to mind.

1) Blind Faith--Blind Faith: This is still a touchy subject because we're talking about kids and the age of consent, and if you've noticed a lot of old school rockers, who used to sing about having relations with underage girls now move their ages upwards of 18 and 19, instead of 15, 16. Then, you're probably not surprised to hear that a lot of people didn't think the idea of putting a barely pubescent girl with her top off was a good idea for an album cover even if the album did include Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton. They might've been a super group, but they still had to use some common sense.

And, yes, just as marriage does not ensure happiness, neither does being single. But being single deserves the same chance at making us happy, doesn't it? After all there are so many things to love about being single, like getting the whole bed to yourself, making plans without having to consult anyone but yourself and knowing that you're happier on your own than in a mediocre relationship!

What are sexual disorders?

Sexual dysfunctions are disorders related to a particular phase of the sexual response cycle. For example, sexual dysfunctions include sexual desire disorders, sexual arousal disorders, orgasm disorders, and sexual pain disorders. If a person has difficulty with some phase of the sexual response cycle or a person experiences pain with sexual intercourse, he/she may have a sexual dysfunction.

Examples of sexual dysfunctions include:
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder. This disorder may be present when a person has decreased sexual fantasies and a decreased or absent desire for sexual activity. In order to be considered a sexual disorder the decreased desire must cause a problem for the individual. In this situation the person usually does not initiate sexual activity and may be slow to respond to his/her partner's sexual advances. This disorder can be present in adolescents and can persist throughout a person's life. Many times, however, the lowered sexual desire occurs during adulthood, often times following a period of stress.

Sexual Aversion Disorder. A person who actively avoids and has a persistent or recurrent extreme aversion to genital sexual contact with a sexual partner may have sexual aversion disorder. In order to be considered a disorder, the aversion to sex must be a cause of difficulty in the person's sexual relationship. The individual with sexual aversion disorder usually reports anxiety, fear, or disgust when given the opportunity to be involved sexually. Touching and kissing may even be avoided. Extreme anxiety such as panic attacks may actually occur. It is not unusual for a person to feel nauseated, dizzy, or faint.

Female Sexual Arousal Disorder. Female sexual arousal disorder is described as the inability of a woman to complete sexual activity with adequate lubrication. Swelling of the external genitalia and vaginal lubrication are generally absent. These symptoms must cause problems in the interpersonal relationship to be considered a disorder. It is not unusual for the woman with female sexual arousal disorder to have almost no sense of sexual arousal. Often, these women experience pain with intercourse and avoid sexual contact with their partner.

Male Erectile Disorder. If a male is unable to maintain an erection throughout sexual activity, he may have male erectile disorder. This problem must be either persistent or recurrent in nature. Also, the erectile disturbance must cause difficulty in the relationship with the sexual partner to be defined as a disorder. Some males will be unable to obtain any erection. Others will have an adequate erection, but lose the erection during sexual activity. Erectile disorders may accompany a fear of failure. Sometimes this disorder is present throughout life. In many cases the erectile failure is intermittent and sometimes dependent upon the type of partner or the quality of the relationship.

Female Orgasmic Disorder. Female orgasmic disorder occurs when there is a significant delay or total absence of orgasm associated with the sexual activity. This condition must cause a problem in the relationship with the sexual partner in order to be defined as a disorder.

Male Orgasmic Disorder. When a male experiences significant delay or total absence of orgasm following sexual activity, he may have male orgasmic disorder. In order to be qualified as a disorder, the symptoms must present a significant problem for the individual.

Premature Ejaculation. When minimal sexual stimulation causes orgasm and ejaculation on a persistent basis for the male, he is said to have premature ejaculation. The timing of the ejaculation must cause a problem for the person or the relationship in order to be qualified as a disorder. Premature ejaculation is sometimes seen in young men who have experienced premature ejaculation since their first attempt at intercourse.

Dyspareunia. Dyspareunia is a sexual pain disorder. Dyspareunia is genital pain that accompanies sexual intercourse. Both males and females can experience this disorder, but the disorder is more common in women. Dyspareunia tends to be chronic in nature

[edit] Other meanings of the term
A new meaning for the term "cross-dressing" has appeared in the African-American community, where it is used to refer to wearing two different name brands of clothing (or sports team logos) simultaneously. For example, wearing both a Tommy Hilfiger hat and FUBU jacket might be referred to as "cross-dressing." This use of the term is exclusively negative. While far removed from the original meaning, this usage is increasingly common and can lead to confusion among those used to more traditional meanings of the term.[citation needed]

The term "cross-dressing" is also used in debate, as a rhetorical device to couch your argument in your opponent's terms, making you appear more co-operative and your argument more difficult to refute.[1]

[edit] Varieties of cross-dressing
There are many different kinds of cross-dressing, and many different reasons why an individual might engage in cross-dressing behaviour.[2]

Some people cross-dress as a matter of comfort or style. They have a preference towards clothing which is only marketed to or associated with the opposite sex. In this case, a person's cross-dressing may or may not be visible to other people.

Some people cross-dress in order to shock others or challenge social norms.

Both men and women may cross-dress in order to disguise their true identity. Historically, some women have cross-dressed in order to take up male-dominated or male-exclusive professions, such as military service. Conversely, some men have cross-dressed in order to escape from mandatory military service.[3]

Single-sex theatrical troupes often have some performers cross-dress in order to play roles written for members of the opposite sex. Cross-dressing, particularly the depiction of males wearing dresses, is often used for comic effect onstage and onscreen.

Drag is a special form of performance art based on cross-dressing. A drag queen is a male-bodied person who performs as an exaggeratedly feminine character, in an elaborate costume usually consisting of a gaudy dress and high-heeled shoes, heavy makeup, and a large wig. A drag queen may imitate famous female film or pop-music stars. (See also RuPaul)

A drag king is the counterpart of the drag queen — a female-bodied person who adopts an exaggerated masculine persona in performance or who imitates a male film or pop-music star. Some female-bodied people undergoing gender reassignment therapy also self-identify as drag kings, although this use of "drag king" is considered inaccurate by some.

Transgendered people who are undergoing or have undergone gender reassignment therapy are usually not regarded as cross-dressing. Namely, a transsexual who has completed gender reassignment surgery is certainly not considered cross-dressing, unless they were to wear clothes of the gender opposite of what they have transitioned to. Pre-operative transsexuals may be considered similarly.

A transvestic fetishist is a person (typically a heterosexual male) who cross-dresses as part of a sexual fetish.

The term underdressing is used by male cross-dressers to describe wearing female undergarments under their male clothes. The famous low-budget filmmaker Edward D. Wood, Jr. said he often wore women's underwear under his military uniform during World War II.

Some people who cross-dress may endeavour to project a complete impression of belonging to another gender, down to mannerisms, speech patterns, and emulation of sexual characteristics. This is referred to as passing or "trying to pass" depending how successful the person is. An observer who sees through the cross-dresser's attempt to pass is said to have read them. There are books and magazines on how a man may look more like a woman.[4]

Sometimes either person of a heterosexual couple will wear it to arouse the other. For example, the Male would wear skirts or lingerie and/or the Female will wear boxers or other male clothing. (See also forced feminization)

Others may choose to take a mixed approach, adopting some feminine traits and some masculine traits in their appearance. For instance, a man might wear both a dress and a beard. This is sometimes known as genderfuck.

“People can do some fairly complicated things while still asleep,” says Dr. Charles Cantor, medical director of the Penn Sleep Center at the University of Pennsylvania. “They can leave the house, get in the car and drive. They can go to the kitchen and cook and eat. Sometimes it’s not very rational. For example, what they cook may be inedible.”

As for the skills of these unconscious lovers, scientist can't say for sure.
Experts don’t completely understand why some people experience parasomnias, though they do know that the tendency to do things while sleeping runs in families.

What’s clear is that, in certain people, something goes wrong during delta, or slow-wave sleep, explains the study’s lead author, Dr. Carlos H. Schenck, an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Minnesota and a senior staff psychiatrist at the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center in Minneapolis. It’s generally thought that little dreaming goes on during slow- wave sleep, Schenck adds.

Sexsomniacs are “like a hibernating bear waking up. They’re confused and can be aggressive. They’re in a twilight state, partially awake and partially asleep. They’re disinhibited. They generally have no memory of what happens,” Schenck says
About 7 percent to 11 percent of Americans experience some sort of parasomnia, says Schenck, author of the book “Sleep: The Mysteries, the Problems, and the Solutions.”
The reason most of us haven’t heard about sexsomnia is that it’s rarely reported, he says. These types of patients "generally don’t come in to a sleep center. A lot of them are still hiding in the closet,” Schenck says.

Also, since the sexsomniac generally has no recollection of what happened during the night, it’s the person on the receiving end of the attention who must bring the matter up: first with the partner and then with a physician.

Some spouses aren't complainingAnd, apparently, the experience isn’t always a negative one.

Schenck notes that one woman said that her boyfriend while asleep was “more amorous and a gentle lover” who was “more oriented in sexually satisfying her.”
Another woman said she “found some aspects of sleepsex pleasurable ... and a little kinky,” Schenck notes. In fact, the woman liked the sleepsex so much, he adds, that “she requested that the patient incorporate some of the nighttime sexual practices ... into their conscious lovemaking.”

It’s not always rosy. Some women have complained about spouses who are more aggressive. One described a night when her husband grabbed her around the neck. The researchers noted: “She slapped him hard, which awakened him, and he immediately let go.”

Cantor has seen cases where sexsomnia has created friction in a relationship.
“Partners I’ve spoken to are really unhappy about it,” he says. “They don’t want to be approached when they’re not actively participating. And they don’t want to be awakened in the middle of the night.”

How can partners be sure that their unconscious Cupid is actually sleeping? Well, some of them do the deed while snoring. Others have been described as being “far away,” “glassy-eyed” or “unresponsive.”

Dark side of sexsomniaSexsomnia can have an even darker side. Because people aren’t aware of what they’re doing while sleeping, they can end up performing inappropriate, even illegal, sexual acts.

Schenck’s article, for example, lists several cases in which minors have been groped and molested by sleeping adults.

Andropause - Male Menopause?

What is andropause? "Midlife crisis" -- this is often the transitional period for men when they experience what is termed as the second childhood. This period usually starts from age 40 to 45. It is also called andropause or male menopause because its symptoms coincide with the decrease in a class of male hormones called androgen. All men are affected, although some to
a larger degree than others. A thorough knowledge of the underlying hormonal and physiological changes will better prepare all males to deal with this phase of life. By the time men are between the ages of 40 and 55, they can experience a phenomenon similar to the female menopause, called Andropause. Unlike women, men do not have a clear-cut external signpost such as the cessation of menstruation to mark this transition. Both, however, are distinguished by a drop in hormone levels. Estrogen in the female, testosterone in the male. The bodily changes occur very gradually in men and may be accompanied by changes in attitudes and moods, fatigue, a loss of energy, sex drive and physical agility. What's more, studies show that this decline in testosterone can actually put one at risk of other health problems like heart disease and weak bones. Since all this happens at a time of life when many men begin to question their values, accomplishments and direction in life, it's often difficult to realize that the changes occurring are related to more than just external conditions.
Unlike menopause, which generally occurs in women during their mid-forties to mid-fifties, men's "transition" may be much more gradual and expand over many decades. Attitude, psychological stress, alcohol, injuries or surgery, medications, obesity and infections can contribute to its onset.
Although with age, a decline in testosterone levels will occur in virtually all men, there is no way of predicting who will experience Andropausal symptoms of sufficient severity to seek medical help. Neither is it predictable at what age symptoms will occur in a particular individual. Each man's symptoms may be also different.
